- After a decade of decline, the proportion of 25–34 year olds in owner occupation is now equal to the proportion in the private rented sector across England.
- 727,000 first-time buyers acquired keys to their first home in the year to March 2019. The average age of a first-time buyer is 32 years outside of London and 37 years in the capital.
